Cycling is a unique and dynamic repetitive movement sport that
requires a functional approach to movement training. Prepared
by the experts at MERRITHEW, this workshop is designed to
provide an overview cycling mechanics, discuss the athletic and
dynamic needs of cyclists, and teach programming appropriate
for improving cycling performance. The training concepts of the
CORE Athletic Conditioning and Performance Training program
will be discussed in conjunction with each exercise.
This workshop will provide education and training to instructors
who work with or will work with cyclists. It is intended to be a
launch point for those who have not previously worked with
cyclists. For those who have, it is intended to review the basic
mechanics and apply sound functional movement training to
improve performance and decrease the risk for injury.
